Smash It 2025: Smashing Electronics, Supporting Community
This past Saturday, the parking lot of JEI Tech was buzzing—not with gadgets, but with hammers and cheers! Our 2nd Annual Smash It Event was a smashing success, bringing together families, tech lovers, and community supporters for an afternoon of fun, destruction, and giving back.
From 11 AM to 2 PM, people lined up to take a swing at outdated electronics, safely smashing everything from printers to old monitors. The event wasn’t just about letting off steam—it was about making a difference.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, this year’s event supported two amazing local organizations:
Wild Rose Community Connections
Foothills Advocacy in Motion (FAIM)
All proceeds and donations from the day went directly toward supporting their vital work in the Foothills region.
We couldn’t have pulled it off without our incredible partners:
🔨 High River Home Hardware – supplied all the smashing gear
🌭 High River Sobeys – kept everyone fueled with a delicious hot dog lunch
🚛 BR Disposal – handled the smashed remains like true pros
Their support helped make this day safe, fun, and impactful.
At JEI Tech, we’re passionate about technology—but we also know that sometimes, tech fails us.
Whether it’s a crashing laptop or a paper-jamming printer, everyone’s had “that moment.” Smash It is a way to laugh about those frustrations, responsibly recycle e-waste, and support causes that matter.
Thanks to everyone who came out, volunteered, donated, or just swung a hammer in solidarity.
We’re already looking forward to Smash It 2026!
