Community Generosity Shines at 2nd Annual Smash It

Our 2nd Annual Smash It event was not only a fun way to break things down—it was also a powerful reminder of how generous our community is.

We’d like to send a huge thank you to Darrell Curtis at Highwood Trusses for his incredible donation of a $400 food gift card to Wild Rose Community Connections. Contributions like this directly support local families and programs, and we’re so grateful for Darrell’s ongoing community spirit.

On top of that, we’re thrilled to share that the event raised $1,600 in cash donations!

Here’s how it all came together:

  • FAIM (Foothills Advocacy in Motion) received a $1,000 cheque.
  • Wild Rose Community Connections received a $600 cheque plus the $400 food gift card, totaling $1,000 in support.

This kind of support helps ensure both FAIM and Wild Rose Community Connections can continue their amazing work supporting individuals and families in our area.

Thank you again to Darrell, to everyone who donated, and to everyone who came out to Smash It. Together, we’re building a stronger community!
